The Leopold Bachmann Foundation promotes agroecology in Switzerland in order to safeguard the livelihoods of present and future generations. It supports agricultural practices that are ecologically sustainable, economically viable, and socially equitable. The aim is to improve soil fertility, protect soils, promote biodiversity, and produce healthy food through innovative agroecological approaches.
Impact
Through its commitment to agroecology, the Leopold Bachmann Foundation strengthens the sustainable development of Switzerland’s agricultural and food system. By closely linking research and practice as well as advisory services and education, agroecological approaches are permanently integrated into educational structures – from basic agricultural training and higher vocational education to the gastronomy sector.
